New Album Available October 13th

I'm like a joyous father today because we get to announce that our new record "Say Anything" is coming out October 13th, 2009. As I've said recently of the record, my opinion is that it literally defines everything about the band we've built so far. If you like us or love us from the bottom of your heart, be excited.

Some deets: The running theme of the record is finding the mental superhero within yourself despite having seen some dark times. After all of the stuff you've heard me sing and write about that overtook me for the better part of a decade, I finally found a way to fight back, and this is the story of how.

A few of my favorite songs on the record are "Mara and Me", "Death for My Birthday" , "Do Better", "Crush'd" and "Hate Everyone". There going to be thirteen songs all together, the first one being a introduction to the record called "Fed to Death".

Though it's hard to describe the quote-un-quote sound, I can try; "Say Anything" is akin to Botch forcing themselves on the Beatles and fathering a strange Larry David-esque midget, who is abandoned due to his freakish nature and adopted by Billy Joe Armstrong. This record is quite a bit more fun than our last record, but still expectedly evil. The point is, we're very proud of it and we only hope you enjoy listening to it as much as we enjoyed taking our music to what we perceive as the place we've always wanted it to go.

Hmmmm...any other tidbits...uhh...Debra Messing is indeed mentioned on the record. No joke! We love you, Debra!

Honestly i joined twitter simply so i could follow say anything, that sounds creepy but its true...and i have been anticipating this album drop since the saint rose show you did...i am soo excited for this album.not just becasue its new but becasue it means so much to you, so i know it will be great.

I have been selectively cleaning out my ipod and downloading every song i have ever loved. i am trying to refine my music library because in 2 months i will lose it all for 9 weeks of basic training. No music at all. now if i could accurately describe how high SA stands on my favorites list then you would understand the melancholy i felt when reading this email in my inbox. A new album from my favorite band through most of my conscious life is being dropped the week after i ship out. Oct 6th i will bring my ipod with me to through the airports to Ft. Jackson, then during processing they will take it a nd lock it away for 2 months. that little musical time capsule will contain every song SayAnything has recorded (obtained legally and illegally). It seems that everytime i've moved somewhere new during my adolescence, they have released a new album for my to associate my new life with. Now I have to wait until i graduate basic and leave for medic training in texas before i can listen to new cd. THERE WOULDNT BE ANYWAY TO PURCHASE A DIGITAL COPY EARLY WOULD THERE??? I'm serious It will eat me alive for 9 weeks if i have to wait until christmas.

Holy crap, I am super excited! I remember the first time I heard "Alive with the Glory of Love"
I loved it immediately, and when I got "Is a Real Boy", I fell in absolute love.
Everything I had been looking for in all other bands, that I thought I heard for a while, seemed to be all added up into the sounds that came from your music!

Though I can't say I'm die-hard enough to know each and every one of your biographies, I know what I love is what I hear.
I was so excited to have "Is a Real Boy" that I PAINTED a yellow cat and a red cat fighting, very comic style, and with oil pastels. I loved it and wanted to send it to you guys if I ever had the chance, but lost the painting when I moved across the country =[[
Now I absolutely adore "In Defense of the Genre"

And am even more super excited to hear this new cd.
Will be going out and buying it as soon as it's on shelves!!!

Say Anything will be hitting the studio soon to start tracking their forthcoming album. SA will be taking a short break from tracking in February to participate in this years Soundwave Festival in Australia.
